  Somerset - Hole #6
Our goal is to produce the most unique and natural product as possible for each site we develop. To begin a project, we first research each site in great detail. While there are common threads and a standard process to every project, each location has its own identity and special features. This is the time to identify unique natural features we may want to highlight and familiarize ourselves with any environmental or archeological characteristics that need to be preserved.

Once the basic programming and overall goals are established, our next step is to bring forth the strongest routing and land use pattern possible for the site. Many factors aesthetic, economic and functional requirements are woven together. Functional requirements include golf strategy, irrigation storage, infrastructure and maximum golf course frontage.

We then generate and furnish plans throughout the remainder of the project for bulk dirt movement, fairway cuts and fill, as well as green shaping.

To maximize efficiency and creativity, we have produced a unique 3D concept for shaping the entire course. This technique portrays the “look” and character of landing areas, greensites, surrounds and other special features as they are planned to exist within that natural setting.

This is extremely useful to owners to portray what the final product will look like prior to building as well as to the “shapers” who bulldoze the earth into a desired form.

The character and nature of the sketches are readily transformed to the built environment with much less in terms of subsequent changes required.
