Jerry N. Slack & Associates has been designing golf courses throughout the United States for over 25 years. The winner of distinguished design awards such as Municipal Improvement of the Year award for Quail Ridge Golf Club in Kansas has propelled this land planning visionary to such distinguished locations as historical Manassas, which was nominated for Golf Digest's “Best New Public Course” in 1997 and credits “Best New Golf Course Community” by the Fredericksburg Area Builders Association in the Year 2000 Parade of Homes Winners.  


All phases of golf course planning and design, from land planning development and golf course routing, to the graphic articulation of grading concepts, drainage, individual green design and on-site construction management are part of the talented package presented by the firm. These finely detailed plans define concepts that incorporate environmentally sensitive design and playability with features that benefit maintenance and the economic effects of golf course operations.

Slack’s in-depth educational and professional background, from architecture and site planning, to large-scale land planning and urban design, has been tempered with significant emphasis on economics and the physical sciences. For the past ten years, Jerry has participated in over 65 golf course construction projects. As a “hands-on” architect, Jerry utilizes a three-dimensional sketching technique that greatly enhances the communication of his design concepts to golf course shapers enhances the communication of his design concepts to golf course shapers, contractors, superintendents, owners, and whoever needs a visual portrayal of plans.
